How to Measure

Width x height

How to measure for your made to measure picture frame.

  • Always measure photo or art the full width by height.
  • We remove 6mm in size to account for mount and photo overlap.
  • We would prefer measurements in millimetres (mm) but you can use Inch’s and we will convert it.
  • Measurements are Width x Height.
  • Using a metric ruler.
  • Don't have a ruler, here are some printable paper rulers.
The only measurement you need is the full Width x Height of the item to be framed.

Looking at the photo place a ruler or tape measure on one edge of the item,
measure from one side to the other side.

1st the Width
2nd the Height

See two measurement examples below.

Example 1   Landscape photo
Width
(above width, below is the height)

Height
The measurements are 150mm x 101mm (Width x Height)
Select the closest Size, in this example, it will be option 6" x 4" (152 x 101mm) picture frame.
Your Exact size would be 150mm x 101mm.
You would use the Landscape setting when ordering your frame.

Example 2   Portrait photo

This example is a portrait photo.
